Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 amβ8 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (661) 825-3500. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, slicerspizza.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 114 reviews, which is a strong result for a pizza takeout in Bakersfield and suggests consistent service.
Bakersfield is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Bakersfield follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We asked for a 20-in pizza which we did get but we wanted it a half pepperoni and half combination but we got a combination which I had to pick everything off of it to the fact that you made it into a combination, not a half and half which my brother does combination he likes pepperoni. We did make it quite clear that we wanted it a half a half which we were told no problem for the amount of money that we spent. I didn't think that would be a problem

First time trying this pizza I wanted to try a different one. I was a bit disappointed. I ordered it for delivery. The pizza barely had any cheese. Toppings were pretty abundant, but the whole point of pizza is the cheese. I don't think I will come back.

The pizza is delicious! I had the pepperoni pizza, and it reminded me of New York pizza, thin but not too thin, super tasty, and with generous pepperoni. I usually like to put red peppers on my pizza but I found myself eating it like that, it's very good as is. Will be back to try the other items.

After reading all the positive reviews they have we decided to try Slicer's Pizza today. The pizza did not disappoint. It was delicious the crust was perfect not too thick and not too thin and it was flavorful. Both pizzas had the perfect amount of toppings on them and the wings were cooled to perfection just like we asked. The guys at the counter were friendly too. Give this spot a try you won't regret it.
